Melissa

I've had a passion for yoga for a long time and enjoy every opportunity I get to share that with anyone interested. I love working with complete beginners and witnessing the change that inevitably comes with dedication.
I also love leading a strong class to those ready for some push!

Melissa

I began practicing yoga about 20 years ago - I was looking for some time out, to strengthen my body and improve my fitness but I found so much more! Since then my passion for health and movement has led me to a career as an Osteopath (Life and Motion Osteopathy) here in Bacchus Marsh, and to deepen my own yoga practice and share my learnings with others.

I love to help people create space in their lives - for health, happiness and wellbeing. I am excited to share the teachings of yoga with anyone keen for the knowledge- be they complete beginners or those with some experience.

I have completed studies in yoga, ayurveda, clinical pilates and meditation in Australia and India including

Cert IV, Diploma remedial massage, BSci, Masters Health Science (Osteo), 700hr yoga teacher, Advanced pre and post natal yoga, Clinical Pilates, Advanced sequence training, 110hr meditation teacher cert., Meditation for chronic pain, Trauma informed yoga, Kundalini for chronic health conditions, ayurvedic lifestyle medicine, advanced pranayama among others.

I first began practicing yoga 17 years ago to help manage anxiety and fell in love with the practice.

I am drawn to the non-competitive nature of yoga and the way it brings my mind back to the present moment.

I am a proud Mum to three beautiful girls and a cheeky puppy named Luna.

My passion for movement and health has led to study and certification in group fitness, chi ball, pilates, meditation, pregnancy specific exercise and yoga.

Lisa

Having a background in dance and love of movement and music, I hope to bring some of that connection of music and movement to my classes where you can forget the to-do list for an hour and get into a rhythmic flow within the mind, body and soul.

Lisa

I found solace in my yoga practice 2 years ago at a time when life felt like it was spiralling out of control.  Working full time, raising a young family and navigating ageing parents, I knew I needed to start taking just a moment for myself to breathe again and bring some balance back to my life, so I could continue supporting the ones I loved.

I’ve always had movement as part of my life, either through high energy dance or gym classes, however it was the slow and quietness of Yoga that really challenged me the most. To slow my mind, body and breath down ended up being where I found the most growth mentally and physically.

As my love for the Asana practice increased, so did my curiosity about the background, the science and philosophy of Yoga. So I followed the calling of Yoga and signed up to a yearlong, 500 hour YTT course which I completed in 2024.

Having a background in dance and love of movement and music, I hope to bring some of that connection of music and movement to my classes where you can forget the to-do list for an hour and get into a rhythmic flow within the mind, body and soul.
